The largest ever election was once again successfully celebrated all over the world. Without providing any chance for surprises Narendra Modi and his saffron sentinels marched to the Sansad Bhavan with a landslide victory. India became the locus of praise and petals for conducting the most legitimate way of exchange of power.
However, the electoral triumph was not flawless according to some sources. The much-criticized EVMs have a decisive role to play in bringing NAMO back to power it seems. Notably, the number of total voter turnout in multiple constituencies differ in the ECI website and the Voter Turnout App of the ECI. Obviously, it is a technical glitch. The landslide victory of the BJP has nothing to do with EVM tampering. It is impossible to hack or tamper any electronic device in the world, particularly in India (India ranks 3rd in the number of cyber attacks). The query is so simple, while the developed countries including the NAMO favourite USA, France, Germany, Netherlands etc. hesitate to use EVMs why India is exposing itself to the vulnerabilities of the electronic devices in the election?.
The logic of election commission is well known as well as understandable, population, geographical constraints etc. But for once in a five-year can't the government machinery work little hard and with zeal to efficiently conduct this process. The energy and enthusiasm of the partisans could be emulated. It was not long back the government took an avid interest and spent humungous energy and resources to conduct a Mela.
Election Commission is losing its diligently built credibility by turning a blind eye towards the complaints regarding EVM. Still, the ECI fasten its grips to the EVM with a ridiculed solution of VVPAT. Now it is evident, there are issues. There are unresolvable issues in the largest general election in the globe. What is going to be done about it will determine whether India is credible enough to hold the title of 'largest democracy in the world'.
